THE DOLMENS
The fog has bandaged my eyes. I am blinded.
The pine grove trembles like a dome
above my rebel head.
Night has an organ sound.
My hands burst into flame.
I have clutched the trunks of the trees.
I strangled the torsos of women
and broke the earth wide, like a belly,
Today! Today!
Thunder, draught of God!
My arms grow huge, like waterspouts at sea.
And I am alone
before my eternity, like the dolmens.
Afterwards, no one will know who puffed up the cyclones,
who opened the abysses like jaws.
No one!
Hurricanes, shout! For I am alone.
The fog has bandaged my eyes. I am blinded!
