THE TREE OF OBLIVION
I
There's a tree in my native land.
They call it the Tree of Oblivion.
The agonizing souls go there
(vidalitay)
hoping to find consolation.
II
Under that Oblivion Tree,
hoping not to think of you,
one night I lay down to sleep
(vidalitay)
and asleep fell I at once.
III
But as soon as I woke up
you came to my mind again:
I'd forgotten to forget you
(vidalitay)
just before I went to sleep.
