A SPARK
It was a vision of fire
With fascinating lights
And beasts of ruby like wounded diamonds;
Rays of blood and fire
Inflamed in gold and purple the whole of my gray eastern sky.
I stood as if blind…
What a light!… —And then, and then?
Then?… The gray eastern sky…
